a great time attending a friendly at
the
Smith's Falls Curling Club on Sunday
February
24th.

NGCC President Bill Whites expresses the
club's thanks to the Ontario Trillium Foundation
for the generous grant. |
The Ontario Trillium Foundation granted the
NGCC $23,200 to purchase proper-sized
stones
for youth curlers and an ice scraper
to enhance
the quality of the ice surface for
the enjoyment
of all curlers in the community.

The winning team of the 3rd annual Royal
Lepage Gale Senior Mens Cash spiel
held at NGCC on Friday January 25, 2008.
The winners, representing Manotick Curling
Center, are Mike Schulz,skip(center
left
in pic),Ron Barker, third, Bob Pentland,second,
Ray Jones, lead. Twenty teams competed in this competition
which offered $1000 in prize money. Rinks
from Ottawa, the Valley, Winchester,Prescott,
Brockville,Maxville and Russell competed.
Co chairs Gary Pickard and Bill White were
very pleased with the entries and would like
to thank the various clubs for supporting
this
event. A Special note of appreciation
to
the kitchen volunteer team for presenting
such a delicious banquet meal to conclude
the event., and to our sponsor associates
from Royal Lepage Gale Realestate.

The Gauthier Bonspiel is for women with five
years or less of curling
experience and was held at the Richmond Curling Club
on January 12/13, 2008. |
