The Action	Mary	The Winners
On Wednesday April 4 ,2007 NGCC held the first Mary McClory Memorial Bonspiel for Day Curlers. This event honors the contributions made by a lady who endeared herslf to many of the members of NGCC for her outstanding efforts as Membership Chair from 2004 till her untimely illness,which ultimately took her from us, early in 2007. The first of many Mary's days was a huge success with 64 curlers(16 teams) participating.,along with a number of guests, including Mary's brother, Pat, and sister-in -law, Sue. The winning team,which was presented the new Mary McClory Memorial Shield by Pat and Sue McClory, was: Skip Jim Dolan, Third Jean Hartjes, Second Bill Surette, Lead Rose Dolan Each team played a morning and afternoon six-end game. A wonderful pot-luck luncheon was devoured at noon. All those in attendance received a gift bag from the prize table at the conclusion of the spiel. Judging by the comments, a good time was had by all. Mary would have loved it! President Bill White
